Disintegration
Former KGB agent Igor Panarin talks up a possibility that most Americans can’t even begin to imagine. This is a crackpot story to be sure, but one that’s of particular interest to me, since the idea of a vastly different United States or even no United States, dovetails with a novel I’ve been working on for a while now.
The United States’ collective memory is short, and I think it would serve all Americans to remember that we are a young nation and the future is always uncertain. Our nation’s precipitous growth has been reckless, and one just need look at the current financial system for a lesson on unchecked growth.
Anyway, Panarin sounds like a puppet for the Kremlin’s propaganda machine, but it is significant that he’s even getting mentioned in the WSJ. Guess that’s what happens when Murdoch takes over.
And you have to love this map…
